Paweł Rusiecki the new Deputy President of National Water Management Authority (PGW WP) for Water Environment Management

On 14 January 2021 Paweł Rusiecki has been appointed by the Minister of Infrastructure to the position of Deputy President of National Water Management Authority (PGW WP) for Water Environment Management.

Przemysław Daca, President of the National Water Management Authority (PGW WP) congratulated the newly appointed Deputy and said:  
-The most important tasks that Paweł Rusiecki will deal with is to suport local governments in implementing solutions for the effective functioning of the water and sewage management. This year will surely be marked by verification and approval of water and sewage payment tariffs. Invariably, the Water Environment Management Division’s task will be to protect the purity of the natural water environment in our country.
Paweł Rusiecki is a graduate of the Faculty of Construction and Sanitary Engineering at the Lublin University of Technology. He also completed postgraduate studies in the field of construction and architecture, as well as studies in the field of management. He has 26 years of experience in the water and sewage industry. In 2012-2018, he conducted classes for students at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in the field of Environmental Engineering. In July 2018, Paweł Rusiecki had joined the National Water Management Authority (PGW WP), where he was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Water Environment Management, which he held until he was appointed Deputy President of National Water Management Authority (PGW WP) for Water Environment Management.
While performing the function of the Deputy Director of the Department of Water Environment Management, Paweł Rusiecki began to deal with a new area of activity related to the function of National Water Management Authority (PGW WP) as a regulatory authority. Paweł Rusiecki supervised, among others the water and wastewater pricing process in 11 Regional Water Management Boards throughout the country. He implemented the tools necessary to protect residents against unjustified increases of water supply and sewage services prices. The achievements of Paweł Rusiecki include the closure of the first tariff cycle launched by National Water Management Authority (PGW WP) in 2018. More than 2,700 decisions have been issued determining the prices of water and wastewater throughout the country. Any attempts of significant price increases have been considerably limited. Order has been made in the tariff process of RZGW and KZGW. In the years 2000-2018, Paweł Rusiecki has contributed to the optimization of water and wastewater metering, creating the concept and development of an automated Legalization Station for water meters and converters for heat meters in the MID range and, among others, implementation of the remote reading system at MPWiK Lublin.
