According to art. 3 point 3) of the Act of November 17, 2021, amending the Act on specific solutions related to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crisis situations caused by them, and certain other acts (Journal Of Laws 2021, item 2368), the current river basin management plans (aPGW), published in the form of regulations in 2016, will remain in force until 22 December 2022.

Currently, the process of the developing regulations introducing the second update of the river basin management plans (IIaPGW), which will ultimately replace the existing plans, is underway.
