Przemysław Daca appointed Head of Polish Waters

17 January 2018, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation has appointed Przemysław Daca as the Head of the National Water Management Holding Polish Waters. Previously employed as the Deputy Director of the Inland Navigation Department in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation, the new Head of Polish Waters was handed the appointment letter by the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation, Anna Moskwa and Secretary of State in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation, Jerzy Materna.

The official ceremony took place in the Polish Waters’ head office and was attended by the deputy heads of Polish Waters – Iwona Koza and Mateusz Balcerowicz as well as director Andrzej Kulon.
“I am very happy that this position will be taken up by a person with such huge experience” – said the Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation, Jerzy Materna, after handing the appointment documents to the Head of Polish Waters. “I am aware of the difficult challenges that I am facing,” ensured Przemysław Daca. The new head has thanked his deputies for good welcome and added that he hoped for good cooperation with the management and employees of Polish Waters.
Przemysław Daca holds a Master’s Degree in environmental engineering. Previously he worked for local government. Employed by the Marshal Office of Mazowieckie Voivodeship, he was responsible for environmental protection and waste water management. Afterwards, he moved on to the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Inland Navigation, where, for 10 years, he was taking care of inland navigation and inland waterways as the director and deputy director of the department. He has been collaborating with various institutions responsible for water management in the area of maintenance and modernisation of inland waterways for many years.
